(Natural Space/Room)
2008, intallation

Daniel Beerstecher realized this installation within an exhibition project of the Studienstiftung des Deutschen Volkes which took place in an empty Art Nouveau villa in Görlitz in August 2008. The approximately three square meters of a small, rectangular room were furnished with moss and a young mulberry. This room had originally been used for bookkeeping and stocks and was separated with a heavy iron bar from the neighboring room. He provided a beaming white wall painting and a glistening source of light for maximal contrast between the installation space and the villa in need of renovation. The grinded and polished bar supported this ambivalent assertion by its metallic shine.
